macOS Security Foundations Beta
A focused, read-only configuration assessment with a clear report, guided remediation, and one included rescan.
What this assessment covers
- 14 original macOS configuration checks
- Encryption, platform protection, firewall, updates, login, remote access, time, screen lock, and auditing
- Point-in-time result for one named device
What you receive
- Plain-text collector with a published SHA-256
- Complete HTML and JSON report for the selected beta manifest
- Plain-language explanations and bounded remediation guidance
- One included rescan after approved changes
Important boundaries
- Not malware, CVE, vulnerability, penetration, or organization-wide endpoint coverage
- Local administrators can influence device state and collector output
- Some observations can remain unresolved when macOS withholds evidence
Data and privacy boundary
- Uploads bounded device facts and normalized configuration states, not unrestricted command output
- Does not request usernames, serial numbers, hardware UUIDs, IP addresses, recovery keys, documents, messages, browser data, or passwords
- Production retention and deletion terms are not yet published, so checkout remains disabled
Delivery and recovery policy
- An identical upload retry does not use the included rescan
- A delivered report with security failures is a successful assessment
- The beta will provide authenticated replacement, credit, or refund paths when supported delivery cannot complete
Readiness checklist
This self-check performs no technical validation, payment, or target access. A non-billable technical preflight is still required before checkout.
Complete every item to finish the basic readiness checklist.
Technical preflight: In build — the checklist below is not a technical compatibility test
